Who is Rosie?
Rosie was a compassionate and joyful student at Double Peak School in San Marcos, CA. She had a way of making people feel seen and included—whether she was sharing a snack, talking with a friend, or just bringing her contagious smile into the room.
The 2025 summer before 8th grade, Rosie’s heart unexpectedly stopped from a cold virus, but her impact continues to live on through the kindness and joy she spread every single day. Friends and teachers still describe her as one of the most genuine people they’ve ever met.
Rosie loved being involved—she played volleyball, helped create the yearbook, and loved her dogs like family. She had a passion for baking, surfing, and beach days with her friends. She was also an adventurer—by just 12 years old, she had already traveled to 40 states, 30 countries, and 5 continents! She was a foodie and tried lots of crazy things.
Rosie lived her life with courage, laughter, and love. She squeezed more adventure into her 12 years than some do in a lifetime. Her story reminds us that life is precious and best lived with kindness, curiosity, and connection.
To honor Rosie is to carry her spirit forward: be kind, include others, be your authentic self, use empathy, laugh often, stay positive, help others, chase adventure, and make every moment count.
